1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HelmBill ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

HelmBill provides time tracking, invoicing, expense tracking, and reporting tools for freelancers, consultants, and small agencies. The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

• Free plans are available with limited features as described on our pricing page
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase for annual plans
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

5. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into HelmBill, including time entries, client information, invoices, and expense records. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You may export or delete your data at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written consent
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HelmBill shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
